Perfectly located for a night out on the town

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful and historic city of Heraklion in Crete for a long (and much needed!) weekend vacation.

After doing a fair amount of research online, I eventually decided upon the Hotel Ibis Styles Heraklion Central – part of the Accor Hotels group – for my accommodation. It proved to be a very good choice. Not only was everything about this beautiful luxury hotel first-class and fantastic, the staff went out of their way to ensure everything about my experience was top quality and memorable.

The hotel itself is very centrally located, and is only a five-minute walk from the city centre and attractions such as the Morozini Fountain, one of the city’s most famous sights. There are also many great cafés, bars, and restaurants nearby, which the visitor can easily get to on foot. The central location of the hotel is definitely one of its advantages, as you’re then free to enjoy yourself (and a drink or two!) without worrying about how you’re going to get back afterwards!

Spacious Accommodations and Great Food

The hotel’s amenities are world-class… like the views

The rooms are very spacious, well-appointed, and extremely bright. Besides a large double bed and a flat screen TV, we also had a comfortable work area, along with large wardrobes and an over-sized bathroom. The room also featured a very handy mini-fridge and a safe.

Another highlight for me was the Hotel Ibis Styles Heraklion Central’s breakfast. Consisting of a large, fully-equipped buffet that awaited us every morning, the food served was very rich and tasty, with a generous choice of dishes. The breakfast placed over an emphasis on local products, which was a nice touch, and everything was delicious. Which was no surprise: after all, Cretan cuisine is famous the world over for its quality and taste, and this hotel certainly was no exception.

The restaurant itself was extremely modern with comfortable seating and elegant décor. And a special mention should be made of the service. The wait staff were fast and efficient, very professional and helpful, and extremely friendly.

In fact, from the very first moment we entered the hotel until the time we had to check-out, the staff were always polite and smiling. They responded willingly to all of our questions, and provided us with plenty of details about the best routes  to take in order to properly explore this beautiful part of the country. The professional behavior of the staff is definitely one of the hotel’s many great assets.

For those of you who are planning on travelling to beautiful Crete in the future, Hotel Ibis Styles Heraklion Central is definitely one of the best and most reliable choices for your stay.
